A Cal adventure : oral history transcript : my life and times at UC Berkeley, 1991-1997 / Chris Murchison ; an interview conducted by William Benemann in 1997. The University Archives, The Bancroft Library, University of California, Berkeley, 1998.

Murchison discusses his undergraduate years at Earlham College in Indiana and early career at Burlington, Vermont and Upstate New York. He explains his reasons for wanting to come to California, and his first appointment with the University in a position in academic support services. He describes his internship with the Multicultural, Bisexual, Lesbian and Gay Center (a project that eventually led to the establishment of the LGBT Studies Minor Program) and his work in Residential and Family Living. He relates his personal feelings as an African-American gay man living in the Bay Area.
